Maintenance Technician
S&W Metal Products S&W Metal Products Birdsboro, PA Birdsboro, PA Full-time Full-time $22 - $26 an hour $22 - $26 an hour S&W Metal Products, a new employer to the Birdsboro area, is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team.
We are a sheet metal fabrication shop, who has been in business for 75 years.
We have a newly renovated facility and are extremely excited about our growth and opportunities for the coming year.
In this position, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for supporting the production and engineering departments by maintaining the physical equipment and functionality of the plant.

Responsibilities include:
Diagnose equipment failures (mechanical and electrical to extent of ability), source required parts and complete repair work to get equipment back into operation.
Report situations to Plant Manager where a technical CNC engineer is required.
Serve as first point of contact when dealing with facility related issues, outside technicians or critical maintenance requirements for down equipment.
Develop and maintain preventative maintenance program; complete PM tasks according to schedule on all relevant equipment.
Perform general facilities repairs, maintenance work and improvement projects.
Source and submit purchase requisitions for all items required to complete equipment repair, maintenance or facilities-related tasks covering both critical and preventative maintenance.
Address safety concerns regarding equipment and building as identified by Safety committee or otherwise.
Perform all tasks with a safety first mindset adhering to all OSHA requirements.
Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of metal manufacturing and general production shop equipment; advanced knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics and CNC controls and machinery highly desired.
Must be able to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics.
Awareness of and demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures, including lock-out tag-out process.
Computer familiarity (Excel, Word, Outlook) with efficiency in sourcing items and technical data on the internet preferred.
Able to work from and maintain task lists, as well as set and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with basic manufacturing and production principles a plus.
